By simple word of mouth, Dundonald Juniors formed in the early summer of 2014. It all started with meeting in the local park every week without fail. Everyone had a lot of fun and built new friendships. Not only did they develop into a good footballing team, but importantly developed as young individuals. Bob and Oral (Head Coach) taught all the footballing fundamentals, such as passing, communication, movement, positional play, vision, and awareness. This culminated in the youth team winning their division in the respected Surrey Youth League in their very first season, winning the league by 11 points. For a brand new team this was simply a remarkable achievement! Off the back of this exceptional debut season, the boys were put up two divisions for the 2014/15 season. Now they have begun working in schools with specialist sports teams, after school clubs, and even enrichment programmes using localised Sports Premium Funding.
The future looks bright as we head off into the next season and also look towards forming an all-girls team.
